React to available houses

Are you looking for a house in one of the regional municipalities? Then please keep in mind that different rules from Eindhoven may apply.

Reactions
The stock of available houses from Woonbedrijf is continuously changing. Via the Internet you can directly indicate your choice for a certain house. If you don’t have Internet access, you can go to the Woonwinkel of Woonbedrijf. When a house becomes available, the following procedure applies:
  1. First it is decided whether the house is to be let via the 'direct letting' principle. A house is let directly to people who have for instance been declared urgent by the urgency committee or to prospects who live in an area where restructuring is going to take place and who need temporary accommodation.
  2. If the house is not required to be let via direct letting, it is published on the Internet for at least 7 days and all prospects who meet the selection criteria can react. If you read through the range available on the same day every week, you will not miss a thing.
  3. The start date and end date of publication are listed for the house. At the latest on the date on which publication ends, you should have sent in your reaction.
  4. Through the Internet you can make a direct choice for a particular house. If you have reacted to a house, you can estimate you own chances, because for every house offered (via the Internet) you can call up your position. When reacting to houses that become available it is important that all your data are correct! In the event of an allocation your data will be checked and if they are found to be incorrect the offer becomes void.
  5. You can react to a maximum of three houses from the Woonbedrijf stock simultaneously. As long as the house is published, you can still undo your reaction and react to another house. After publication has ended, your reaction to an available house is changed into a definitive reaction. This in turn enables you to react to another house on offer. In this way you can have three simultaneous permanent reactions to available houses.
  6. You will only be notified if you are eligible for a house. If you accept an offered house, your registration for allocation of a house expires.
Own choice
A comfortable home in a pleasant neighbourhood can only be realized if you feel involved in your living environment. If you are registered with Woonbedrijf, you can determine for yourself which available houses you want to be eligible for. This also enables you to determine how and where you want to live. You specify your own terms and housing requirements, compare them to the Woonbedrijf houses that are available and then make your choice known via the Internet. So you will only find your desired home by looking for it yourself! Your own choices and search initiatives are the decisive factors.

Registration time most important criterion for allocation
In principle your registration time with Woonbedrijf, either or not in combination with any conditions listed in the advertisement for an available house, is decisive for the allocation of available houses. For some houses or complexes a certain target group (like older people) has preference. Even if you do not belong to the target group, you can still react. If there are reactions from people who belong to the target group, they come first.

Note: Whenever you obtain another self-contained residential accommodation after you have registered at Woonbedrijf your registration period lapses.
